The National Jewish Outreach Program (www.njop.org) runs an annual national Hebrew-learning program called "Read Hebrew America". Synagogues across the US participate in helping people with little or no skill in Hebrew reading to start to become comfortable with the synagogue service. This year, as in the past, the Adams Street Synagogue is pleased to participate. Classes are scheduled to begin on Monday, November 6, and continue once a week until the beginner reading workbook is completed. This normally takes seven to ten lessons or more, depending upon the size of the group and the speed at which the students learn the Hebrew. For information or to register, call either Aryeh Cheses at 617-527-7967 or Barry Cohen at 617-964-0190. There is no charge for the course.
